Matra Systems - Designed and developed the POS reporting module for Freedom POS, a touchscreen point of sale system. The POS Reporting module is a C# control that supports COM Interop using the Interop Forms Toolkit 2.0, calls the SQL Server Reporting Services back office reports via SOAP, is published as an ActiveX control, and simply plugged in to the existing host VB6 application. POS Reporting allows managers to run “back office” reports from “front of the house” touchscreen terminals, an enhancement requested by the customer Universal Studios theme park. This design allowed the client to utilize all the benefits of a new control developed in C# without taking on the mammoth task of upgrading the large, existing VB6 UI code base.

Responsiblities include solutions architecture, development, R&D, requirements collection, technical specs, managing development teams ranging from two to five members of permanent and contract developers, windows development representive on IT architecture committee, mentoring/training permananent and contract staff, and capacity planning.

Senior developer on AMS TREB, a web application used for producing ads in “The Real Estate Book”, a nationwide real estate listing digest periodical that allows real estate agents to manage their own ads, photos and online presence through a single web application. Responsible for requirements analysis, specifications writing, training staff, developing sample XML, XSL transforms, ASP, VB COM, SQL stored procs for use by contract and permanent developers. Primary developer on two key components: Ad Management and Photo Upload.

Design and development on IMS, an application for automated monitoring of ATMs. Multi-Tier app with web and fat clients utilizing shared database and business logic layers. IMS allows smaller ATM distributors the same rich functionality, repair monitoring and cash management as other much more expensive solutions.

Lead designer and developer on TrafficTrak utilizing Visual Basic 6, SQL Server 2000, GPS Satellite Navigation Technology. TrafficTrak is used by radio and television to record and geocode real-time traffic incident data. The app receives data from incident tracking users as well as from DOT sites across America.

Client/Server application design, development, and maintenance in the field of medical practice management using Visual Basic 6, COM, and stored procedures. Areas included: Appointment scheduling, claim submission for HCFA 1500 and UB92 paper and electronic, customizable reports engine, custom forms and query builder. Data integrity SQL scripts and importing of balance forward data from legacy systems. Prior to this I was MicroMed’s only help desk representative. Provided 24/7 pager based support.
