I am a fundraising and leadership coach and consultant focused on helping charity leaders become entrepreneurial creative leaders who change behaviour, raise more money and do more good. I am an experienced fundraising and NFP leader, director and management professional with over 30 years in the sector. I work with charities and charity leaders at all levels, locally, nationally and globally. Before this I was Interim Executive Director for Fundraising, Marketing and Communications at Action for Hearing Loss, and before that spent 3 years as Fundraising Director at Maggie's Cancer Care Centres. Previously I was Development Director at the NSPCC responsible for Legacy fundraising and was Chairman of Remember a Charity, a consortium of over 140 UK charities promoting legacies and aiming to make giving in wills a new social norm. Prior to this I was Director of Community Appeals at the NSPCC responsible for local volunteer and community fundraising, schools, and national events across the UK and played a leading role in the Full Stop appeal, managing the regions, which raised £55 million. Before joining the NSPCC, I was Head of Regional Fundraising at Unicef for 3 years and prior to that spent 12 years in a range of fundraising and management roles at Scope. I am currently Vice Chairman of the Institute of Fundraising. I speak, write, share, mentor, coach, train, innovate and contribute where I can. I am most interested in creative leadership to influence change and change behaviour, making the most of emotional connections with individuals, donors, teams and organisations.
