- Blend high levels of clinical and people skills while working with donor families, critical care staff and multiple surgical transplant teams to effectively recover organs for transplant. - Provide on-site evaluation of potential organ and tissue donors, help guide families through the decision to donate the organs of their loved ones, manage the critical care of the donor to assure the viability of the organs, locate recipients for each transplantable organ, and assist in the recovery of the organs. - Help develop relationships between procurement staff, ICU staff and physicians and provide educational programs to facilitate the organ donation process.

-Proficient in titrating vasoactive medications, ventilator management, neuromuscular blockade in the respiratory failure patient, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), invasive hemodynamic/cardiac output monitoring, acid/base and electrolyte imbalances, etc. -Skilled in external ventricular drain (EVD) and intracranial bolt ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, burst suppression via continuous EEG in seizure management, high-dose barbiturate treatment.-Cared for complex and diverse patient populations at a Level 1 Trauma center, including post-op liver, kidney and pancreas transplants, other complex surgical patients, and victims of trauma.-Proficient in pulmonary artery catheters/cardiac output monitoring, and abdominal pressure monitoring/caring for a patient with an open abdomen.
