I've always been driven by a passion to change the world for the better. I'm an entrepreneur who deeply loves creating things - I am passionate about building products, services, and organizations that inspire others to leave this world better for future generations. I am currently working to build Traveling Spoon, a company I founded to make travel more meaningful and create deeper cross-cultural connection. Traveling Spoon is a marketplace that connects travelers with private, authentic food experiences, from learning to grind curry on a family farm in Thailand to learning to cook with a Michelin-star trained chef in his home. I'm responsible for product development and marketing, partnerships, fundraising, and managing a cross-functional team of 5 individuals across the US and internationally. We acquired a competitor, and I was the lead in charge of integration, including onboarding new team members and transitioning hosts to the Traveling Spoon platform. I developed the idea for Traveling Spoon and met my Co-Founder while in the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business Full-time MBA program. I went to Haas because I had a passion for business innovation and entrepreneurship and knew that getting my MBA would allow me to gain the skills and knowledge to launch my own business.While at UC Berkeley, I had an internship at Google.org in which I led a rebrand of 80+ person social impact division within Google, including marketing strategy, creative development, copywriting and agency management.Prior to business school, I was combining my passion for changing the world for the better with my interest in strategic development working with a number of exciting projects: I worked with Alice Waters and the Chez Panisse Foundation to create her national organization the Edible Schoolyard Project. I lived and worked in Haiti in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake to lead the organizational growth for a community development nonprofit.
