CurrentFollow federal guidelines to qualify Choctaw Tribal Members for emergency utility payment services through Choctaw Nation Emergency Service LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.) Interview Tribal Members in person, over the phone, and via online applications to assess if all requirements are met to receive emergency relief via payment to electricity vendor, propane vendor, or natural gas vendor. Establish well-defined relationship with Tribal Members and utility vendors. Follow federal income and document submission guidelines to determine LIHEAP eligibility. Request additional documentation from applicants as needed. Send denial letters if Tribal Member is deemed ineligiable. Issue Gaurantee of Payments to vendors on behalf of Tribal Member. Maintain accurate and detailed case notes.
