I use computer-based usability evaluations as well as paper-based methods, such as card sorting and paper prototyping. I incorporate the results of these evaluations as I design user interface components, and I test those components with software developers and users alike before releasing the finished product. I also compose in-application documentation and edit help information, error messages, and other types of text across software suites to ensure completeness and correctness.
Technical Support Coordinator
I worked with a team of programmers, designers and tech support specialists to maintain the content management system that drives most of the University's websites, including the websites for USU Cooperative Extension. I provided customer support, training, and documentation for end users. I also coordinated team resources and helped manage workflow within the team.

I worked directly with the software developer, and we held weekly check-in meetings to review my work and make sure it mapped accurately to the software. It was distributed to Utah public works employees, and was still in use as of Fall 2010.
