Working across the Urea, Granulation and CO2 Plants, my cross-functional back-up Team Lead assumes responsibility for safely optimising plant production, leading staff, coordinating maintenance and planning to meet production targets during the course of a shift. Above and beyond my daily checks, permit issuing, safety compliance and supervisory tasks, I have been proud to have: • Scoped, prioritise and partnered with maintenance planners, the plant’s daily and ongoing maintenance requirements for minimum plant down time.• Led regular ‘Maintenance Day’ isolation projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver both proactive and reactive maintenance priorities in line with schedules, ensuring isolations are completed allowing tasks to be completed safely and on time with minimal disruption to production.• Proactively developed, wrote, reviewed, and implemented updated procedures and isolation lists with QMS (Document Management System) with a view to continuous improvement and efficiency.• Supported team members to apply strong attention to detail when executing process plan and coordination of plant shutdowns and plant turnarounds.• Competency as an authorised responsible person to issue hot work and confined space permits in accordance with IPL high risk standards and guidelines.• Contribute as part of a HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) team to identify potential hazards and reduce the risks for new projects and complex isolations.• Active member of the Emergency/Fire Fighting Team and authorised High Voltage MCC, restricted duties Operator.

Reporting to the Team Leader on shift, I was responsible for Control of the plant with Citec SCADA interface to keep within designated Operating Parameters, competently and safely starting up and shutting down the plant. • Monitored and controlled plant to remain out of constraint and alarm, respond to alarms and take appropriate action to return the plant to 100% control, run plant to produce maximum output within safe working limits.• Carry out regular product tests and adjust plant parameters to ensure consistent quantity and quality of product.• Self-nominated to conduct procedure and policy review from an operations and safety perspective, including plant operating instructions, emergency operating procedures and fatigue management. • Successfully taught new technicians the plants systems, QMS, (Document Management System), and SAP, mentoring them through their workbooks to become competent team members.

Reporting to the Team Leader, I worked as part of a team to support effective and efficient Start-up and shutdowns, monitoring plant equipment and maintaining daily shift parameters to meet targets.• Read and interpret processing schedules, operating logs, test results of process samples and laboratory recommendations to determine changes in equipment controls to produce quantity and quality product.• Move and set controls to control process variables such as flows, temperatures, pressures, vacuum, time, chemicals via automatic regulation and remote control of processing units and manual operation in the field, such as heaters, compressors, exchangers, reactors, absorbers, strippers, and towers.• Move controls to regulate valves, steam turbines, boilers, pumps, and compressor equipment to direct product flow.• Read temperature and pressure gauges and flow meters, record readings and compile operating records.• Inspect equipment to determine location and nature of malfunction such as leaks, breakages, and faulty valves,and raise SAP notifications for plant maintenance.• Review malfunctioning units with maintenance to determine best repair strategy.• Patrol unit to verify safe and efficient operating conditions, act as emergency response in plant emergencies.• Sample boiler feed water and boiler condensate and test chemical characteristics.• Work in a cooperative manner with others to promote safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
