I am a motivated professional consultant with almost 30 years of experience in performing and leading materials-related R&D projects. I have worked on MoD and civil projects of many types and have gained extensive and detailed experience of technology transfer, new product development and manufacturing. Qualified to PhD level in Applied Physics, I am able to liaise with all levels of customer, from researchers through to senior management. I have represented my former companies on national and international technology strategy groups and have given numerous presentations at major conferences.I am well organised and proficient at Project Management and have successfully delivered complex work programmes valued at millions of Euros - including the world's first radar-stealthy wind turbine demonstrator.I have an excellent working knowledge of turbine radar cross section (RCS) and its impact on radar systems, and I am expert in designing stealth materials solutions to reduce RCS.I have been employed as a stealth consultant by Vestas during the design, prototyping and manufacture of low RCS wind turbine blades, nacelles and towers. The low RCS turbines were installed by a major energy company to mitigate interference with local radar systems. Commissioned in 2015, it is the largest wind farm in France.
