“It’s not about how many times you fall down in life, it’s about how many times you get back up”. A personal mantra that at its core has shaped not only the leader, but more importantly, the person that I have become. Combine that with “You don’t build a business, you build people”, and you have a 10,000 foot view of the leader that I strive to be daily. I use frequent 1:1’s with my engineers to not only communicate feedback, but primarily to strengthen our personal relationship. I’m also highly data driven, having spent some time as a DBA. By examining the current available data I’m able to provide new insights and correlations between KPIs, part of this is via experience and out of the box thinking, and for an even closer look I’m versed in ML and Statistical Analysis.I’ve been trained in leadership since I was a child, starting with Boy Scouts. I have approximately 5 years of experience running teams of highly trained and technical individuals. I’ve spent close to a few years as a Scrum Master and used that experience to adapt the Agile methodology and manifesto to a Support Department, increasing my teams performance by over 100%. Like my technical expertise, my leadership experience has come in many shapes and sizes from many different parts of my life.
