Connexity provides Audience Insights and Audience Activation. Including realtime bidding, ad serving, retargeting and more. Working in the Display group I provide software solutions that support realtime bidding and high volume stream processing. I have responsibility for budget delivery, creative optimization, impression/click/conversion attribution, and streaming event counts. I also work on the backend systems and various tools that we use including automation. Connexity, prior to the acquisition by Shopzilla, was an ad network specializing in audience discovery. I was responsible for the Connexity Campaign Manager, backend software that handles budget delivery, creative optimization, streaming event counts and more. I was also involved in the build out of our datacenter, systems engineering and network engineering. I managed hardware purchases to budget. Celerus Diagnostics produced an automated IHC tissue staining instrument capable of staining up to 16 slides at a time in as little as 15 minutes. As Instrument Manufacturing Manager I was responsible for just in time build and delivery of new and refurbished instruments to GMP standards. I was responsible for ensuring that we had the appropriate inventory to fill orders. I participated in quality system audits and inventory audits. I managed one employee. I also retained many of the duties from my previous position in Engineering.Some of the tools I used included Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and a paper based quality system.

Celerus Diagnostics produced an automated IHC tissue staining instrument capable of staining up to 16 slides at a time in as little as 15 minutes. My position as an Engineer with Celerus spanned a range from field service to product development to IT guy. I did the initial customer installations of the instrument, including troubleshooting to component level. I developed a heat seal for our reagent cartridges that prevented leaks during air shipping. I also developed a vacuum chamber test procedure that was used to test the seal on samples from production lots.My largest project at Celerus was the addition of heaters, sensing and controls on the instrument allowing us to offer on-board heat induced epitope retrieval (HIER). I developed a custom form factor for a ceramic heating element that was produced by Watlow. I also employed off the shelf Watlow PID controllers and solid state relays to control the heaters. I designed and developed a circuit using IR temperature sensors to measure the temperature of the slides themselves, this connected to an existing 1-wire bus on the instrument. Working with Software Engineering, we developed a 2-stage PID control to accurately control the temperature of the slides, the tissue and the reagents. I worked with UL and ETL to test the instrument to Safety and EMI standards.I did extensive testing of material compatibility with the chemistry in our reagent packs for use in a second generation pack. Hand made proof of concept second generation packs.

Citrix Online produces software communication tools like GoToMyPC and GoToMeeting. As an Integration Engineer, I worked in Comm group doing continuous integration testing of software produced by the group. I did scalability testing of the software including load testing of a VoIP conferencing solution under test. I lead efforts to perform human assessment of voice quality in VoIP conferences in GoToMeeting.

CrystalVoice first produced hardware and later software VoIP products. The product combined a custom codec with a custom jitter buffer to provide a seemless audio experience. I filled a variety of roles including IT, product support, product testing/development and sales support. I worked to make CrystalVoice products network and security friendly, developing methods to detect and work within network security/access policies. The company chose to include some of that work in patents that were granted. I managed CrystalVoice's 3 data centers, including selecting, installing and maintaining the hardware for an SaaS VoIP service. I installed and maintained the CrystalVoice software supporting the SaaS system and internal systems.I worked with partners including Cisco, 3Com and Avaya on interoperability testing and certification. My job included extensive VoIP audio quality testing. I tested several methods of automated MOS scoring and also developed human MOS tests. I did analysis to code level in C++ including debugging in VisualStudio. I did network analysis with Etheral/Wireshark. I did sales support, trade shows and customer support too.
