Responsible for Fixed Asset Accounting for$300+ million spread thru 70,000 items at 24 manufacturing, support and office locations in multiple states. Also responsible for negotiating Ad-Valorem taxes on these items plus numerous, land, commercial and residential properties.Other duties included assisting in filing/negotiating federal and state income tax returns and liabilities. The company was considered to be a large corporate entity subject to multi-year examinations by the IRS.One such examination covered six filing years and lasted for approximately 30 months. The final negotiations centered around investment in plant & equipment of approximately $120 million and the claims for depreciation and investment tax credits.
