Development of Health Information Management software based on the Eclipse Framework. Lead developer in the creation and implementation of Computer Assisted Coding software using Java, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and SQL.

Directly supported multiple clients including the Weather Center and Network team through the development of Java web applications and stand-alone Java applications run as cron jobs or batches. Custom front-ends to servlets were written using (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Flex depending on the needs of the client. Applications accessed and modified both Oracle and SQL Server databases. Used Git, Apache Ant, and Hudson for version control and integration. Participated in pager rotation, troubleshooting Tomcat and Apache web servers on Unix and Windows servers, and troubleshooting group applications. Project lead on the removal of web vulnerabilities in applications.

Updated the Weather Center’s web page to allow helicopter pilots and site staff to view sky visibility data. Created Java servlet that protects web servers from attacks by overwriting compromised files and reporting the incident to the appropriate staff through email and pagers. Updated various Java software used throughout the site.

Designed, programmed, and implemented shift management software for the management team in the Framing Department. Worked with the shift managers to develop a program that best suited their needs. The software, written in ASP.NET 2.0 and AJAX, allows shift managers to organize their employees and assign them to specific frames based on a number of factors such as frame/product availability, task, and shift. The software incorporates a self-created SQL Server database and is Oracle database ready for future database needs.

Designed, programmed, and implemented syllabus software for the faculty and staff of Aiken Technical College. Trained the faculty and staff on how to use the software. The software, used campus-wide for the creation/modification of syllabi, incorporates a Microsoft Access XP database. This allows the departments to have a standardized, accessible syllabus for each class that every professor uses.
