Securing major funding bids for key interventions; building exceptional relationships with local and regional partners; and significantly raising the profile of the district and its offer through extensive media and marketing activity.

Leading a not-for-profit company to deliver economic growth (supporting local businesses & inward investment campaigns), skills development (23,000 young people engagements pa), and business innovation & environmental sustainability through the Future Cities programme. Forging powerful relationships with a wide range of strategic partners (nationally & internationally) and securing major funding bids. Securing enhanced perceptions of the city and its ambitions through extensive media engagement and conference representation.Additionally, responsible for major place-making initiatives, including the city's Integrated Growth Study, City Centre Area Action Plan, Heritage Regeneration programme and award-winning Cathedral Square revitalisation.

Initially integrating heritage into the regeneration of Leicester City - promoting the city's heritage and ensuring that it played a positive part in the city's regeneration. Subsequently advising on the care, protection and enhancement of conservation areas and their assets in the East Midlands.

Providing expert advice on listed building and conservation area applications, and grant schemes.

Providing expert advice on the repair and conservation of historic buildings, and enhancement of conservation areas, and relevant consent applications.

Providing support to specialist committees and local parishes on the carez development and use of churches.

Managing grants and statutory casework affecting all aspects of the historic environment.
