About Steve Cooper

In 2017 I completed a 10 year term as a board member of the International Accounting Standards Board. My career has been split between three main areas: accounting standard setting, investment banking and education and training. The common theme is one of equity analysis and equity valuation, but approached from different perspectives in these three activities. I retain a keen interest in equity analysis and accounting standards, and continue to provide expert consulting and training for investors and analysts. I also write a blog called The Footnotes Analyst, which includes high quality articles and models that provide insights for investors into financial reporting, equity valuation and equity analysis.
