Married for 31 years and father to 2 outstanding young men. Began my insurance adjusting career as a multi-line independent insurance adjuster with Gay & Taylor, Insurance Adjusters, Inc, a Third Party multi-line insurance adjusting firm. Handled various insurance claims, including general and auto liability claims for a number of different companies. On scene accident investigations for several large trucking companies, Homeowners property damage and bodily injury claims, including storm duty, in NC. Commercial and large loss insurance claims. Main municipal client was the City of Winston-Salem. I was engaged in all liability claims for the City of Winston-Salem and work closely with the CFO, City Attorney and Risk Manager throughout that period offering liability decisions, analysis and trends. Negotiated all injury and property damage claims ranging from homeowners, property damage, vehicle appraisals, total loss, bodily injury and workers comp investigation. In 1996, I was fortunate to be asked to come aboard and become a full time City of Winston-Salem employee to be the sole claims adjuster in the Risk Management Division and have been with this Municipality from that day forward to present.
