I have been playing the Guitar, Bass and Singing professionally for thirty five years. I hold two Bachelor Degrees from Western Washington University where I studied Classical and Jazz Guitar with David Feingold, Milo Peterson and Jim Fricke. In addition, I hold a degree in Music Education and studied Voice and Choral Conducting with Robert Scandrett and C. Bruce Pullan. I currently work as the Director of Choirs and Orchestra at Decatur High School. I conduct a Womens' Choir, a sixteen voice Chamber/Jazz Vocal Ensemble, a sixty five voice Concert Choir as well as a String and Symphonic Orchestra.My Choirs and Orchestra have consistently won top honors at a variety of regional and National festivals. Most notably, the Decatur High School Concert Choir were the Winners at the prestigious National Invitational Choral Festival in New York City 2008.I am also well versed in Musical Theatre. While at Decatur, I have served as Musical Director for productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Batboy, Aida, Godspell, Grease and Once Upon a Mattress. I have played Guitar or Bass in all of those productions as well as other professional productions of West Side Story, Tommy and Little Bunch O Bradys'. My goals are to keep playing and growing as a musician and if the right group of people come along, form a group that specializes in a musically credible, intelligent, instrumental and vocally challenging brand of pop music. Stay Tuned!Specialties: I am an accomplished Classical and Jazz Guitarist but to be honest with you, I am a Blues, Rock and Roller at heart. I have a good singing voice and can front a band but prefer a more reserved role as a backing and part time lead vocalist. My Influences range from Miles Davis, Pat Metheny to Jimmy Page and Hendrix.I also play upright bass.
