Managing Core Voice, Unified Communications, EUC, and Networking Equipment Categories for the Global Sourcing (Telecoms) Group.

• Responsible for negotiating large value contracts with Telecom’s largest supplier for both fixed and mobile technologies. • Manage, lead, develop and execute assigned procurement category strategies across several spend areas.  • Manage and lead the category strategy development, implementation, risk management, end to end efficiency improvement, Market and cost based analysis, and lean based process reviews, Strategic Cost Reduction/Avoidance Projects, Business Case Preparation, Project Management and Senior Stakeholder Management. • Manage, lead, develop and execute strategic sourcing activities in consultation with key business stakeholders inclusive of Executives • Manage, lead, develop and deliver the supply base selection criteria and supplier management approach and facilitate the “Go to Market” process in conjunction with the Enterprise Supplier Management team• Co-ordinate necessary legal and financial resources during sourcing process to ensure appropriate contractual outcomes and business case development• Ensure smooth transition from sourcing process into business operation through communication with Enterprise Relationship Managers and business owners• Establish benefits tracking process to make achievements measurable and visible

• Establishing and maintaining regular communication with senior managers / executives and key stakeholders in order to understand the business objectives and goals for specified business units• Attend business leadership meetings, understand the business needs and evolve a mutual plan.• Promoting the role & capabilities of Sourcing within the client business units.• Contributing to the business expense and revenue plan with forward costs based on planned cost reduction projects and market knowledge. • Develop category expertise and design and implement sourcing strategies by:• Developing strategies that provide the capability the business needs to meet their goals

• Installation and management of the desktop, laptop, server hardware and software environments, and telephony hardware and software including specific requirements of the contact centre environment• Ensuring the most relevant versions of software are deployed on all workstations, servers and laptops• Security management, including establishment and disestablishment of users, overview of antivirus software file definition updates and deployment in the desktop and laptop environments

• Negotiate national supply contracts with claims suppliers• Manage supply contracts and ensure the national supply chain functions efficiently and effectively • Develop and Manage claims purchasing strategy and RFP process for supply contracts• Develop and introduce intranet solutions for internal and external parties to communicate and process purchase orders, whilst controlling maverick buyers• Part of the project team which combined the purchasing functions of NZI and IAG and achieved cost savings across the group.
