2 Versions of this company. First was started in 1986. Would have made Inc 500s list of fastest growing companies around 1989 and 1990 but I didn't want to pay for the audited financials. Grew to 140 employees performing landscape, lawn care, snow removal, irrigation, tree and shrub care Sold to TruGreen in March of 2000. There was a wall street rollout of 275 companies. We had the largest or 2nd largest branch in the country and returned $1.7m back to corporate after paying all corporate fees on revenue of $14.7mRebooted the effort when I worked for Natural Green in 2015. The non compete had run out. The company was running really well, growing and profitable until April of 2017 when I mistakenly took over about 3 million in work from Natural Green. Contracts all turned out to be underbid by 25% or so. This plus a related 6 figure embezzlement from a former bookkeeper ended up harming the company so it had to shut down. I made more mistakes in that year or so than I did the other 30 years. Have learned those lessons though.
