Business Development ManagerReliable Property Services May 2023 - Oct 2023Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Areain 5 months, 8 million in snow proposals 800,000 in sales. When I started, there hadn't been a business developer in the Twin Cities for awhile, so I had to start everything from scratch. No brochures, no marketing plan, no references, no referrals. I started as just the BD for Minneapolis/St Paul, but was asked to cover Milwaukee, Madison and Racine as they hadn't had that position filled either.In the 5 months, here's what was achieved. 1. Generated 8 million in proposals, it was actually 11 million, but 3 million in bids I wasn't allowed to present. 2. Sold over $800,000 in snow services.3. Half of that total was hospitals and clinics in Milwaukee and Racine. 4. Because Milwaukee felt like I had filled them up, I was told not to sell anymore there on Labor Day. I was told the same thing in late September by Minneapolis, so I could shift to help with getting renewals out, arranging for equipment, prepping for snow, etc...5. I ended up spending more than half my time on other work instead of full time on sales. This was ok with me as there was a lot to work on. -
