I started with Sir Robert McAlpine in 1998 at BT Atlantic Quay as a Section Engineer overseeing a £5m facade package. Then came Scottish Enterprise next door to BT before heading to Braid House extension of Gleneagles Hotel as Chief Engineer. HBOS Headquarters on The Mound, Edinburgh came next in 2004. After this I carried out my first job as Project Manager on SRM's first project at Quartermile, Quartermile 1. Success here has seen our continued involvement with Gladedale/Qmile since then. I then commenced Q6 before heading to Marie Curie Hospice, Glasgow and Biological Sciences Unit at Beatson Institute, Glasgow. I then assisted on Gartcosh Police HQ Enabling works and Project Elegance, Edinburgh. Charlotte Square came next in 2011 before heading to De Vere Hotel, Aberdeen. Following this I helped out at Dundee Waterfront and Plot 10 Kingswells before carrying out emergency repairs at Gardner St, Dundee where a retaining wall had collapsed. Refurbishment of DC Thomson Headquarters in Dundee followed before assisting our Southern Region in getting University of Surrey student residences up and running. In 2018 I commenced St Enoch Centre major refurbishment which has been followed by tendering works.Having been appointed as preferred contractor to deliver a mixed use development at New Town Quarter in Edinburgh we are currently progressing tendering for 6 contracts.
