Steven has over 35 years of experience in the construction and engineering industry serving as an Office Engineer and Software Developer for both private and public works varying in size and scope. His development experience started early on upon graduating from CSUS Sacramento and starting his career with PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. As part of the Wong team, he gained the experience in developing Microsoft Access databases for both document control and inspection. At the time, the internet was relatively new and the Construction Management industry was utilizing Excel Spreadsheets and Microsoft Word as tools to manage the work. In addition to programming, Steven is skilled in information technology and network administration. As time passed, the position of Office Engineer became less relevant to client’s needs, so as a result, Steven continued to develop his software skills. In today’s marketplace and especially in Construction Management, each project necessitates a person with skills to rapidly develop tools to productively manage a project. Steven was assigned to the Contracts Department as an Office Engineer working with Sharepoint for the warehousing of information relevant to the project. With Sharepoint being difficult to work with, Steven developed a Microsoft Access interface so project personnel could productively work in Sharepoint and share data in real time. In addition to development, Steven worked in the Contracts Department processing Task Orders / Change Orders.
