Steve has over 30 years’ experience as an entrepreneur and manager of SMEs and NGOs, specialising in the fields of leisure, tourism, sports, physical activity, health and well-being. A passionate advocate of active, healthy lifestyles, Steve is convinced that sports and physical activity are essential drivers in achieving several of the United Nations' SDGs, in particular goal numbers 3, 5, 10, 11, 13 and 17, as well as in successfully implementing UNESCO's Kazan Action Plan and the WHO's GAPPA and Guidelines on physical activity and sedentary behaviour. Steve spent most of the past decade working with NGOs and cities throughout the world to design, develop and implement strategies and programmes to improve health and well-being through sports and physical activity. Steve’s key skills include strategy development, partnership and stakeholder management, project, programme, event and operations management, administration, budget, finance, accounting and HR management.
