Active Parents Active Kids

Active Parents Active Kids is a new NGO helping parents and children become active together. Our vision is to ensure that all children and parents have free, accessible opportunities to do physical activity and sport with their family. During the course of 2021, we will organise free events in Lausanne, Switzerland. Our mission is to promote parent – child physical activity, thereby contributing towards achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 3, 5, 10 and 11. We will do this by: • organising and hosting events where parents and children can be active together • promoting existing opportunities for parents and children to be active together • supporting research into parent-child physical activity • promoting the benefits of parent-child physical activity • any other activities related to this goal. What do we offer for parents and children? - Free weekly events to try new sports - One-off free trials at sports centres and clubs - School visits and free after-school sessions - Workplace visits and sports activities for family work parties - Pop-up events at festivals and public places - A membership scheme for parents and children to try sports at a reduced cost - Information about existing opportunities to do parent-child physical activity. What can parents and children expect from our sessions? - A friendly and welcoming atmosphere - The chance to try new sports aimed at beginner level and up - Fun with no judgement - An opportunity to make new friends.
