Responsible for managing the procurement of all indirect categories, maintaining company procurement policy and implementing process improvement initiatives to optimise the organisations commercial position with regards to pricing and supply of goods and services. The position was later expanded to include control of the company’s light fleet and records management functions.

Responsible for the transition and integration of the material supply function between CitiPower and Powercor Australia and driving end to end business and process improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency and operation of a joint Procurement and Logistics function.

In a newly created role the position’s primary objective was identifying deficiencies in the procurement system and implementing appropriate strategies to reduce acquisition costs, improve effectiveness of the supply chain and lead the ongoing review and development of policies, systems and procedures for procurement.Included the efficient management of business inventory, warehousing, distribution and job-lot processing to ensure fault rectification and planned work targets were continuously achieved. Included driving continuous improvement in output reliability, quality, safety, environmental effectiveness and cost efficiency through resources.

Managed the inventory control, purchasing, warehousing, distribution and disposal functions for the division’s multi-facility operation. Responsible for implementing integrated materials management processes for controlling the movement and storage of materials, spare parts and finished products to support rail vehicle and infrastructure maintenance activities.

Managed the contract administration and procurement function with division wide responsibility of $74 million pa. Lead complex negotiations for major goods and services contracts to deliver financial and operational benefits for the division's manufacturing and maintenance activities.
