Various roles within the Casualty Section of Lloyd's List Intelligence helped me to develop a deep knowledge of the world of shipping casualties. For 13 years l managed the 24/7 365-day-a-year Lloyd’s Casualty Reporting Service, with offices in the UK and India, providing up to the minute news on shipping casualty incidents to our subscribers, including tug companies, ship repair yards and maritime lawyers.In September 2018 I commenced working for Lay & Wheeler wines. I learned a huge amount in a relatively short period about the wine industry and wine in general and achieved a WSET (Wine & Spirits Trust) Level 2 course pass (with distinction). Highlights of my time at Lay & Wheeler included hosting Italy, Burgundy, Loire and Rhône wine-tasting events at various locations in London and a visit to Hambledon Vineyard in Hampshire where our team assisted in the gathering of the harvest.In February 2020 I joined Informa Global Support European Shared Services and commenced learning a large number of new tasks in the Customer Services section. I have found the experience very rewarding, involving constant learning and training on new skills, and have received exceptional support and encouragement from all of the management team.In March 2023 I joined the Retention Team at Taylor & Francis and am thoroughly enjoying the experience of delivering maximum customer satisfaction to encourage our clients to continue to receive our services. The team ethos is exceptional and work is always varied and challenging.
