As an accomplished Specialist Investigator and Trainer, I have led teams internationally on investigation training and standards. I have led complex investigations within law enforcement and recently spent time in high risk environments to train police forces in criminal investigation. I have had a long career within the police service where I led major criminal investigations into murder, kidnap, extortion, human trafficking, and child sexual exploitation. Throughout my career, I have led investigations and worked alongside national law enforcement agencies and police forces. I also recently provided specialists advice and support to the Independent Office for Police Conduct on death and serious injury after Police Contact investigations. I have worked with senior investigating officers (SIOs) as well as the National Crown Prosecution Service and HM Coroners to improve investigative procedures. I also continue to conduct investigations regarding allegations relating to safeguarding in sport. I have prepared reports, reviewed evidence, and provided detailed briefings as part of investigations and case reviews into policing conduct and standards. I work well internationally through building long term relationships and adapting to the environment quickly and effectively including factoring in cultural and procedural differences.I am a former professional Rugby player with Aberavon, Bristol and Bridgend and a Level 2 qualified WRU Coach.
