Before my Master's program, I spent nearly ten years serving in the U.S. Army. My final assignment was serving as the Operations NCO for my Company at Fort Bliss where I managed my unit's Orderly Room maintaining and updating personnel files for the soldiers in my Company as well as monitoring leave requests. I spent my last months in the Army managing all of the affairs for my Company while the majority of my unit was deployed. Tasks in this capacity included, but were not limited to, supervising a different number of soldiers as I sent most of them to join the unit when they were able, as well as receiving, securing, and inventorying high-value property items, and reporting to supervisors.
