Oversight responsibility for corporate food service added 2006.Responsibilities include:Operations Management• Through ongoing processes of continuous improvement, maintained cost levels of internally produced product even though volumes have decreased by half. Consistently increase service levels and productivity, improve quality, and reduce operating expenses. • Oversaw 50% increase in volume in 2006 for American Heart Association product line with minimal impact to service levels. This was a key contributing factor in increases in market share over other distributors. • Developed strategic supplier relationships, negotiating long term price and supply contracts, minimizing paper market fluctuations. • Led several organizational restructuring projects in response to varied business conditions. • Developed comprehensive ergonomics program, decreasing workplace injury rates significantly. Systems Development• Oversaw transition of legacy inventory, manufacturing, and purchasing ERP components to JD Edwards World enterprise software. Facilities Management• Designed and implemented new 35,000 square foot, 3000 SKU distribution center. • Oversaw the closure of a subsidiary in Seattle and return of assets to South Deerfield. Technology Development and Implementation• Implemented graphics arts technology including computer-to-film and computer-to-plate. • Installed automated case packing solution into integrated press and bindery line. • Oversaw facility-wide energy conservation improvements
