Moved to Services and Operations to build on successes achieved in Claims. Customized and extended Image and workflow platform to an additional 1000 users providing additional benefits and improving operations. Developed and implemented platforms for eMail management and electronic records management, improving compliance position and responsiveness to eDiscovery requests. Designed electronic workflows to facilitate the offshoring of 44 seats to the MetLife processing center in India. Became domain expert in Document and Records Management.

Recognizing there was value in being well versed in both business and IT, moved from IT management to business management. Managed and directed many successful initiatives, including designing and deploying an imaging and workflow platform to 2000 users saving the company $6M annually. Gained valuable experience in business skills, people skills, partnership skills, and culture management. Produced significant results for the company and received notable recognition along the way.

Promoted to Manager of several different development teams and developed sophisticated systems including a quoting system that was used by Microsoft employees, a prioprietary form generation tool that is still in use today, and a Liability Assessment tool that was the first of its kind in the industry and was awarded a US Patent. All of these won accolades for their innovation. Great experience gained here in working directly with Microsoft, developing complex software, managing software development teams, and the patent application process. Also gained experience with the MetLife Group Sales operation.

On the ground floor of the PC revolution as MetLife was beginning to use PC's for its massive sales force. Built and maintained very popular and successful quoting and Leads Management systems. Acquired great technical and usability experience, and also some marketing savvy.
