Worked as an IT Audit Manager and Tech Lead, working with the corporate audit function. Areas audited included portfolio management, sub-adviser due diligence, compliance, fund accounting, pricing, corporate actions, middle office, human resources, business continuity and disaster recovery and others.

Physically located in the Baltimore Office, but worked for Partners in Philadelphia as well as Baltimore and Washington DC over the years. Started in audit and assurance, working for financial services and real estate companies and then moved into data analysis, data mining, control assessments, business process reengineering for financial services companies and finally, helping design control solutions to address audit findings and process modeling and business process and system reengineering using C4ISR for government entities.

Started in mutual fund accounting, doing all aspects of accounting for several T. Rowe Price mutual funds. When they functionalized the accounting for the mutual funds, I moved to Pricing. Primarily responsible for pricing all of the securities held by the mutual funds, striking the NAV and analyzing the impact of corporate actions, evaluating price discrepancies and pricing illiquid securities. After building several tools for the pricing department, I was given an opportunity to train to become an application developer and database engineer, and work as a business analyst, developing and writing requirements for systems to support Pricing, Corporate Actions, Fund Accounting and others. Most notably, the back-up pricing system.
