I am a New Zealander interested in public policy and the future of New Zealand and Australia. I currently work as a Senior Business Advisor for New Zealand Food Safety at the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries.I evaluated some of New Zealand's charter schools as a kind of social entrepreneurship for my PhD. I studied at the Australian National University's Crawford School of Public Policy. While I enjoy academic research, what excites me the most is seeing its ideas and findings debated and turned into good public policy and law.After completing my undergraduate, honours and masters study at Canterbury University, I worked for Maxim Institute, a New Zealand independent think tank. During that time I gained expertise in a number of areas, including education, taxation, political theory and voting systems. I also tutored and mentored interns who participated in the Institute’s internship programmes. I have also worked as a tutor for the Lachlan Macquarie Internship programme in New South Wales.In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and cycling.
