Reporting to the Commercial Director, I was responsible for a 30-person strong team of multi-disciplined project teams delivering bespoke HVAC solutions into prestigious oil & gas applications.My broad responsibilities include managing the department resource levels, preparing monthly Project reports for the Board of Directors, providing project support where appropriate, identifying and developing personnel needs as well as process and procedural improvements targeted at reducing commercial risk and improving customer service.

Responsible for design and delivery of a multi-million bespoke refrigeration equipment package for the Statoil Aasta Hansteen oil-field.This position is the main client interface for the project and has Project Management responsibility for all commercial, supply chain and internal leadership of the internal project team.These projects are bespoke solutions to the specifications of the oil company (end user), so there is a high emphasis on quality, compliance & on-time completion.I also have project sales forecast and profitability responsibility.

During this period, I spent a significant period managing the Product Management function (Product Managers, Project and Design Engineers).Essentially my responsibility was to deliver the New Product Development programme in-line with the collective strategic objectives of the Marley, Hunter and Multikwik brands.The new product sales percentage improved from 3% to 7% in 3 years by focusing the business on strategic issues to deliver a return on such a functional investmentI am also a strong advocate and have heavily influenced the project Stage-Gate process.Other responsibilities included maintaining the product certification & kept the business informed on developing standards, guidelines and industry legislation.
