When I left Fuji, I was recruited by the owner of Endless Pools to develop an entirely new system to cover all aspects of business operations. Working cross-functionally, I provided a vision and strategy as well as project oversight to transition from multiple disconnected programs to a unified, in-house enterprise-class business system. I organized and modernized all key areas of the business, including manufacturing, marketing, sales, and customer service. Primarily, I oversaw development of a LAMP based business system that now runs every aspect of our company. I served not only as the chief architect, but also the senior developer of key components of the system. While our internal systems all run on a combination of PHP and MySQL on the backend, and Javascript on the front end, we also have developed a wide range of integrations to external systems. These include connections to our parent company's SalesForce and Navision systems, and also many 3rd party vendor api's such as Call Tracking Metrics, ADP, FirstData, and Sovos. Currently, I supervise 3 developers and 3 admins. I direct a broad range of projects while managing a network of 100+ Mac and Windows workstations, 15 virtualized servers, as well as overseeing special projects such as developing controller firmware for some of our actual products, as well as companion IOS/Android apps to interact with those products. I also make sure our IT department conforms to our parent company's SOX compliance procedures. In my role as partner and advisor to various departments, I push new technologies and constantly improve the organizational road map.

I started here as a Consulting Engineer and grew with the company, becoming a nationwide traveling consultant. I supported sales by creating networking and setups for the digital printers they had sold. My responsibilities also included resolving problems on installations made by other consultants as well as making rudimentary internet connections, ISDN lines, BBS systems, and router configurations for satellite plants. Phillips/Jacobs continued growing and the digital printing division was spun off into in joint venture called Canopy and ultimately acquired by Fuji to become GCS…and I moved and stayed with the company. Over time, I performed a broad range of services, including special projects, software engineering, and managing service personnel, technical support, and sales engineering.
