Management of quality assurance and control program for Oyu Tolgoi Underground Development Support, Construction Site Services and Underground Service Rock Bolting contracts. Supervision of Mongolian national QA/QC engineers and technicians.Reviewing vendor inspection and test plans, reports, checklists and deliverables and verifying compliance to same.Liaising with third party inspection services as required.Reviewing and understanding discipline-specific technical documents pertinent to the required quality assurance checks.Performing on-site, discipline-specific quality control inspections of construction activities and fabricated items, and writing corresponding inspection reports.Assessing construction activities and involving engineering or other discipline inspectors as required (e.g. structural, mechanical, geotechnical, ground control and electrical).Performing QA/QC inspections of structures, facilities and works as required.Managing regulatory activities as necessary to require compliance.Assisting in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Performing QA/QC duties on all aspects of site operations, including inspections, audits and reviews of contractor safety, drawings and specifications, QA/QC documentation, material receiving, vendor fabrication, construction installations of structures, facilities, and works, development and monitoring compliance to regulatory activities, SOP's, process hazard assessments, project execution plan,commissioning plans and close out activities. Reviewing construction/erection drawings and specifications prepared by the project office and providing advice on constructability and basic design criteria that should be established to expedite the work and maintain conformity to the design.

Assessing the abilities of contractors’ site personnel and reporting on the quality of their performance.Facilitating and monitoring the overall construction effort on site through motivation, leadership, .Providing input to preparation of the work progress schedule, in particular the field activities and associated interferences', delays and issues affecting the progress of the work.Monitoring construction work to ensure compliance with standards of workmanship associated with the approved drawings and specifications.Making field observations and providing advice on construction engineering matters.Reviewing construction/erection drawings and specifications providing advice on constructability and basic design criteria.Monitoring and facilitating the coordination of the field activities of contractors and vendor representatives.Maintaining familiarity with the project design.Attending regular progress and safety meetings held with all contractors on site.Undertaking regular inspections of the work in conjunction with construction personnel and contractors recommending corrective measures, and verifying corrective measures have been performed as recommended/requested by the QA/QC manager, to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.Facilitating and assisting the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly construction status reports.Reviewing and verifying all supplier/contractor claims, variations, and back charges.Supporting the EPCM team for individual contract close-out reports.Facilitating the necessary action to maintain the project on schedule and ensure that the work is performed in accordance with the agreed scope of work.Reviewing contractor resources, and the order of work, where necessary, to avoid delay to the project.Preparing and issuing supplementary instructions.Determining contract completion.Preparing and issuing change directives.Reviewing construction supervisors’ daily reports.
