• Plans and coordinates multi-discipline engineering activities and engineering resources in accordance with contractual commitments, schedule and budgets.• Ensures that all disciplines have all the information and data to proceed with their activities.• Rigorously enforces the corporate policies pertaining to health, safety and environmental requirements.• Critically monitors and coordinates interfaces between disciplines and all project stakeholders.• Contributes to schedule preparation, actively controls the schedule and proposes corrective action when required.• Identifies, manages and mitigates, where possible, project risk and• Identifies business development opportunities.• Ensures that all engineering and requisitioning activities are developed according to schedule, budget and contractual and HSE requirements.• Closely monitors potential changes of scope, defines the technical, economical and schedule impact and prepares project change orders.• Ensures timely internal and external reporting on engineering and/or requisitioning activities to the project manager and client. • Ensures interdisciplinary consistency of design and quality of engineering deliverables.• Prepares and ensures delivery of the final report.• Supervisor of the Mechanical Engineering discipline within the Furnace Group, acting as final design authority on the mechanical engineering and design of proprietary ethylene cracking furnaces.• Prepares technical specifications and requisitions for enquiry and purchase.• Evaluates equipment tenders for technical compliance and makes recommendations for purchase.
