In my role as Production Support for RPC Technologies I provide a wide range of skills and/or services to the shop floor and beyond. Mainly I aim to provide any assistance the shop floor at our Broadmeadow facility may require to achieve delivery. This can range from an extra set of hands, to one-to-one templates derived from 3d models, building jigs or tools to clarifying drawings.I also run the Fabrication dept. here at Broadmeadow, with tasks such as ordering and maintaining stock of materials, design and fabrication of items for the factory and repair works.I have also been nominated as a CNC operator for our 2m x 4m, 4 axis CNC machine. This has involved a lot of on-the-job learning, plus a bit of modification/improvement to the machine to iron out some issues it had. I enjoy my role as it keeps me engaged with new challenges, lets me use a variety of skills, and gives me the opportunity to expand on my skills.
