These days I'd call myself an "Agile Technical Project Manager", although I've worn various hats throughout my career from which wide ranging experiences I now draw on to fulfil that role. "Agile" because I'm convinced agile development methods are the best way to stay competitive in an ever moving web-enabled world."Technical" because my roots are in software and hardware engineering roles - giving me insight to help others identify and mitigate risks before they become issues - and help prioritise and resolve them if they do."Project" because I believe focused activity aimed at measurable goals brings the best results. Big goals can be reached through iterative projects, breaking down epic targets into attainable measurable stories to guide implementation teams."Manager" because I want to mentor and guide others. And perhaps also because experience often means being able to carefully pick the right races!I'm happiest working closely with creative and independently minded people, particularly when aiming their talents at helping others use the web effectively for self-help and learning. I've found huge satisfaction in helping to bring together diversely talented individuals into self-organising teams capable of achieving things way beyond the sum of their individual capabilities, and I'm always looking out for those opportunities.
