My years in health care have been anything but linear. Here's my story...I started my career in managed care, building physician networks and working with their office staff to integrate health plan policies and procedures into their practices.After 15 years, I moved from the payor to the provider side of health care, specifically a psychiatric hospital, where my role was to grow hospital census. I enjoyed having a role in helping people get the care they needed to improve their lives, and I went on to have similar roles at a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH), residential behavioral health agency, and long-term care/home health provider. I have always enjoyed the challenge of building something new, and am currently doing just that with KollectMD, a new practice management solutions company. KollectMD's mission is to provide operational support services to health care providers that improves their bottom line and ultimately the patient experience they deliver. It is an exciting new venture, and an opportunity to grow and learn that I look forward to every day.

Established and maintained referral relationships with physicians, case managers, and payers. Responsible for pre-admissions function to ensure proper payment. Represented hospital at community marketing events.Increased referrals(13%), admissions(20%), and census(32%) between 2007 and 2008, exceeding budgeted goals for these areas, which lead to hospital achieving overall earnings of $2 million in 2008.Developed product line business plan for Pulmonary services and monitored results monthly.
