I'm part of the largest professional team of Plant & Machinery Valuers, in Australasia working out of the JLL Asia Pacific office, here in Wellington New Zealand, where I head up the only dedicated Insolvency P&M valuation team in the Australasian region. Although I have been a commercial auctioneer for 30 years, I now only conduct charity auctions for a wide varity of valid causes.I am currently in my fifth term as Chair of the Plant and Machinery Valuation Institute of The Property Institute of New Zealand (PINZ) and I am also a member of the main board of PINZ.

My stage name is DJ Skaman, I select from my vast Vinyl record library which includes a varied collection of original Old Skool tunes, covering Jamaican Reggae, Soul, Motown, The Blues, original R&B, Rock, Punk and Jazz. I have been a regular selecter on Active Radio 88.6fm "Roots & Culture" show and have hosted or run radio shows on both, FBI Radio (Sydney Aus) and 88fm Rarotonga (Cook Islands)I also promote a variety of bands and DJ’s, in Wellington, I have lectured at Massey University and spoken at The NZ Film Archives on the history of Ska music. Over the 16 years that I have been resident in New Zealand, I have played at numerous clubs and bars etc. including Sprig & Fern, Baobab Café, Bar Bodega, Happy, Meow, Basque, SanFran Bathouse, Mighty Mighty, Laundry on Cuba, Southern Cross, Fast Eddies, Puppies, Good Luck, Bar Verona (Auk), Galitos Club (Auk), Kings Arms (Auk), Thirsty Dog (Auk), Cosmic Corner, RPM Music, plus many festivals and carnivals, such as Kaikoura Summersounds, Tora Tora Tora, Cuba Street Carnival, Newtown Festival, Aro Valley Fair, Petone Rotary Fair & The Petone Winter Festival. I have also backed a multitude of bands including, The Skatalites, The Selecter, Bads Manners, Cockney Rejects, The English Beat, The Jam, Chris Jagger Band, Numbers, Katchafire, Warren Maxwell, Newtown Rocksteady, Hairy Lollies, Ahoribuzz, Vinyl Bison, Orchestra of Spheres, Kora, Tiki Taane, BattleSka Gallactica, Amiria Grenell, Brockaflower, John The Baptist, Louis Baker, Cohorts, Ainslie Allen, Rainbow Country, The Numbers, Royal Rumble and The Offbeats to name a few.
