I grew up in Holmdel, NJ in the 70’s, when it was just a little town that featured Holmdel Park & Bell Labs. I’ve always loved football and had a blast as captain of the football team at Holmdel High School, where I was honored to be the 1st player awarded 1st Team All Shore. I loved riding my bike everywhere, and passed many hours hanging out with friends, playing tennis, basketball and working out. I attended CW Post, now LI University, where I continued to play football for the Pioneers. I majored in Criminal Justice because I wanted to be in the FBI or Secret Service and enjoyed being a brother of TKE fraternity. My summer job was painting houses during college. I did a job for a friend’s father who was an executive at EF Hutton. After an in-depth conversation with him, he invited me to come in for an interview. Thus began my career path working in the Finance world. My work ethic, never say never, was instilled in me by my father from a very early age. My willingness to listen and learn from people with more experience than me has been key to my success. I now have the privilege of mentoring people like I was mentored in the early days. One of the things I enjoy most is meeting new people. I’ve always had an easy time befriending someone. When I start up a conversation, my focus is on learning about the person, not on myself, which truly helps people open up to me. One of my goals when starting LeagueMed was to create a platform that gives access to tools for creating wealth with Private Equity to those who wouldn’t ordinarily have it. LeagueMed is dedicated to the personal, professional, and financial well-being of its members and to the collective support and growth of emerging companies that are driving the future of medicine. I hope my partners and I will be remembered for creating a truly unique and industry changing experience. I have two amazing and talented boys, Max and Nick. Max attended Arizona State and is a mini-me. He is smart, witty, and can talk with anyone. He is moving up in his career with Reveres Labs, a specialist in cyber security. Nick studied engineering at RPI. He was an incredible student and athlete. As a running back his senior year, he gained over 1,000 yards! My sons are my best friends, and I am so proud of them. My primary focus right now is the growth and success of LeagueMed. When I do enjoy some down time, I love to work out, golf, have bourbon neat with a nice cigar and travel to new places because “Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow.” ― Anita Desai
