Perform export compliance related work for high tech clients. Work includes reviewing product/technology for export classification, submitting U.S. export license applications and ENC review requests to the Bureau of Industry and Security, performing export compliance training and auditing, and creating and documenting export compliance related processes & procedures. Also responsible for Trade Content for Livingston's trade compliance software to ensure that the software is up to date with all current trade regulations and restricted parties screening information.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with export and import regulations for Cisco's Demo Loan Program organization (DLP). Liaise with Cisco Tax and Compliance teams to ensure all regulatory compliance issues impacting service for all countries serviced by the DLP have been addressed. Also responsible for the DLP internal compliance program.During my time with the Demo Loan Program, I also assumed the responsibilities of Operations Manager. Responsibilities consisted of overseeing the operations of 2 third party warehouses, managing all logistics service providers and negotiating rates for transportation and other services. In 2014, I managed the transition of both warehouse operations (one in the Netherlands and one in California) to a new vendor to reduce cost, reduce lead times and improve overall service.

Tekelec, Raleigh, NCResponsible for corporate export compliance for Tekelec locations worldwide. This includes ensuring compliance with all U.S. export control regulations, implementation and coordination of the corporate export compliance program, applying for all required U.S. export licenses and encryption classification reviews, and performing company wide export compliance training for all employees. Also responsible for the development of an automated export documentation system to be used by all U.S. exporting locations for the preparation for all required export/import documents that includes export license determination and the screening of order information against all U.S. government “restricted parties” lists.

Responsible for U.S. and Canadian export compliance for Nortel Networks. Main focus of duties include creating and maintaining export control guidelines and programs for Nortel, advising the Nortel community of applicable export control regulations and issues, applying for all export licenses, submitting all encryption classifications reviews to BIS and NSA, export compliance training and auditing of all Nortel exporting locations, and ensuring correct export classifications are given to existing and new product.

Managed all functions related to the processing and shipment of international orders for all exporting locations in the U.S. and Canada. Main areas of responsibility included the standardization of processes and systems used at all locations including the development and rollout of the EDM export documentation system, the creation of a support structure and training and development program for all export operations staff, ensured compliance with all applicable export regulations, and created an accurate forecasting methodology for monthly export crating volumes. Responsible for annual budget of $10M.
