I love solving problems! I excel at applying my unique analytical gifts to: build relationships, develop process improvements, grasp new and exciting technologies, start up businesses, and create profitable growth. I am quick to learn, aspire to master, and have an intuitive talent to teach. At every stage of my life, I jump in, get my hands dirty and find solutions.At the age of 10, I noticed a neighbor struggling with his bicycle chain. Right away I recognized his need and practiced my innate mechanical skills to help him. The satisfaction I got from this experience inspired me to start “Steve’s Bike Shop”. I learned how to develop a satisfied customer base and establish quality relationships with vendors. All of these valuable lessons would follow me throughout my life.Later in life, as I was enrolled in the Electrical Engineering program at my local university, I was also working full time at a small and growing company. My engineering mind went to work, as my company was adding new equipment. Not only did I master the computer software interface and mechanical operation of the equipment, but I helped develop the supporting processes that were needed to efficiently produce products. I later showcased my critical thinking skills by successfully launching 4 different start-up facilities. These included two fabricating plants, a service business, and a healthcare facility. I played a critical role in all aspects of these start-ups, including the initial planning, technical guidance on machinery and computer systems, administrative processes, and training/development of all office and floor staff. I was recognized by AGC Glass (by a corporate press release in 2005) for my advancement in operations and for my role in starting up 2 of their 4 facilities. Separately, I was awarded Employee of the Year 2011 by New Friends Dementia Community for my outstanding service and for my role in helping them start-up their new facility.By integrating my leadership experience with my passion for finding solutions, and my ability to collaborate with others, I have increased revenue for companies by 30%, while improving profitability by 10% I value my faith, my marriage to my wonderful wife, my family and friends. I love my community and this great nation. I love hunting, fishing, golfing and anything outdoors. I strive to keep myself physically fit through exercise and healthy diet. I keep myself mentally fit through reading, informal education, listening and learned experience. And finally, I use my talents to serve and help others.
