In this position I am serving as a community consultant and co-author of a McMaster publication about community research. This project is designed to provide community organizations with the required resources to consider research partnerships with the university. This position is housed within McMaster's Faculty of Social Sciences.

In this position I oversaw policy, community consultation, and program development for the Beasley Community Centre in Hamilton, ON.

In this position I developed and oversaw a strategy for Redeemer's community-engaged learning in co-curricular and course-based service-learning. I developed core competencies in facilitating social justice and community engagement programs, mentoring student leaders, and facilitating reflection.As CDC I was able to articulate and express my understanding of the community development theory, models of theological reflection, and my passion for seeing students actively engage their faith and worldview in an academic setting. In this context, I mentored student leaders as well as students in crisis. Highlight of this work include:- Working with students on an advocacy campaign called 'Garnering Support' which successfully lobbied Hamilton City to implement much-needed regular bus service to Redeemer. - Developing a series of week-long service-learning projects that sent students to cities across North America.- Creating a training program for students leading off-campus service groups.- Working with TrueCity Hamilton on a bi-annual service project called 'CrossCulture' that connects over 300 students to service projects each year

In this position I served as a personal support worker at a home for adults living with development disabilities in Hamilton. Tasks varied according to each individual's needs, and included bathing, dispensing medication, and managing violent behaviours.

Responsibilities included managing Christian education programs at a small Presbyterian church in Grimsby, ON
