In short, we give you early warning of QA issues and increase sales.A collaboration between linguistics analyst, Steve Erdal, and 20-strong Digital Marketing Agency, Daykin & Storey, Wordnerds answered a public challenge set by a global brand to use social media data for the early identification of quality issues and in late 2016 won the right to develop our idea to create a proof of concept.Last November we successfully trialled the POC and are in the process of developing the full product. In doing so, Wordnerds have implemented a completely new approach to intelligent listening that goes far beyond the standard keyword matching and sentiment analysis that characterises social listening.

I help people find the right words to connect with their stakeholders, turning prospects into customers and customers into advocates. I have devised marketing copy for a wide variety of stakeholders, from business to parents to arts organisations to young people. Who do you want to connect with?

I've been lucky enough to develop new business projects from a diverse range of University research, from Business Innovation to Child Speech and Language, from Digital Media to Art & Culture. • Developing wide-ranging partnerships with businesses, including networking, pitching, negotiation of contractual terms and applying for Government funding to support projects. • Developing revenue-generating projects, and bringing them to market. These have ranged from digital products to educational services to business consultancy. • Pitching to business. For instance, I was the author of the University’s pitch presentation for their £100k pa relationship with adidas.• Writing business and marcomms plans to support academic staff in commercialising their research.• Internal and external events management, including some of the University’s most prestigious business events. • Developing relations with international stakeholders, especially in the United States.

My work with Adoption UK was so successful that I was headhunted to provide consultancy for another Adoption Support Agency, to provide Marketing expertise for a new initiative.• Shaping the marketing and publicity strategy for the therapeutic centre’s move into family assessment and placement. • Formulating key messages for a range of stakeholders and writing copy. • Developing a plan for the new service’s web presence. • Training Family Futures staff in e-marketing software, such as ConstantContact.

• Developing and implementing the marketing strategy, and managing the marketing budget.• Providing a positive sales environment for our main products and services, and facilitating Adoption UK’s development as a professional provider of adoption support services.• Devising, writing and editing copy for marketing materials, magazine features and online campaigns.• Overseeing the origination and distribution of Adoption UK marketing materials, including print, merchandise and new media projects. • Improving the internal communications of Adoption UK, and disseminating information to its network of volunteers.• Working with the media to raise the organisation’s profile with the general public. • Devising and implementing, for the first time, a campaign of Search Engine Optimisation.
