Worked on remotely controlling the Hulu application running on PlayStation 3, Wii, XBOX, and Roku. This involved the application code running on these devices as well as asynchronous messaging to the back-end. JavaScript, Ruby, Python, eJabberd (XMPP). Led an engineering-wide effort to improve testing and deployment using Chef.

Following the Snapvine acquisition, led the architecture improvement team working on basic service infrastructure management and adoption of RESTful APIs across the backend services. I also led a product architecture that manages and deduplicates contacts across many data sources, including Google, Yahoo, Facebook, and iPhone.

Snapvine was about connecting mobile phones with social networking experience on the Internet (e.g. MySpace, Bebo, Facebook, etc.) via VoIP gateway. As the first engineering hire after series A, I worked on making the backend more scalable and manageable, but also on web applications; MySQL, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Open Social.

Core software platform design and development for a small form-factor personal computing device that was designed from the ground up to be highly secure. Embedded OS, virtualized USB stack, firmware design, OpenGL, and Java.

Joining as a founding member, I helped define and ship Windows NT Embedded 4.0 & Windows XP Embedded. Program managed the developer tools, UI design, embedded features, vertical industry platforms. Later managed a team of PMs within the Platform Business Mgmt, which supported Jim Allchin, and the three Windows divisions.

Developed the system software for Nokia 9000 and Nokia 9110 Communicator (the world's first smart phones!) I Implemented the hardware interface library, power management, packet(memory) manager, IrDA, DNS client, MMC support, and other system software using mostly x86 assembly and Intel / AMD processor specifications.
