At this small but impactful non-profit, I took the initiative to lead a comprehensive modernisation of their analytics pipeline, marking a pivotal turn in their approach to data and automation. This project was far more than just a technological upgrade; it was a strategic transformation that redefined how data and automation are leveraged to enhance decision-making and operational flexibility throughout the organisation.Under my guidance, this ambitious project accelerated the delivery of the organisation's major annual commitment, delivering on schedule for for the first time in many years. The results were profound, with a remarkable 100% reduction in analyst FTE, demonstrating the powerful impact of efficient, automated systems on organisational productivity and efficiency.

I designed, implemented and maintained LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and data management solutions for global high-throughput protein structure determination and chemical probe identification workflows.I worked on the development of an in-house bioinformatics platform using HAXE and Java, as well as extensive use of Python 3 for data analysis and reporting of varied datasets.Working collaboratively with researchers, I ensured high quality, relevant data entry into our ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook) system by shaping experimental and strategic planning, to ensure the platform could fully utilise the large and valuable datasets collected, whilst ensuring compliance with human tissue handling regulations.

I was responsible for the design and creation of DNA transformation constructs, as well as the genetic characterisation of transgenic insect strains. I initiated and raised funds for a project to modernise data collection and processing in the R&D department, resulting in the development of an integrated, data-driven platform to inform the early product design process.
