As Technical Director I am responsible for developing strategy and managing activities related to BIFMA’s health and sustainability performance services. Working with our volunteer committees and a variety stakeholders, I provide strategic oversight and guidance in these important areas. I serve as advocate in areas of legislation and regulations impacting the industry. This includes actively participating in associated industry organizations to stay current on issues impacting area of responsibility, serving as a point of contact and proactively manage relationships with related organizations and government agencies.

Drove action plans in collaboration with sector and functional sustainability leaders to meet cost targets, schedules and quality levels for to ensure hundreds of products meet or exceed sustainability criteria set out by clients and/or internal goals. Achievements include products meeting the highest level of sustainability certification, elimination of 'red list' chemicals, and ISO14001 certification globally. Maintained progress toward corporate goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, maintain zero waste to landfill, 100% code of conduct for suppliers, and reduce 'red list' chemicals in products globally. Communicate with stakeholders through annual reporting, customer interaction, non-government organizations, and government agencies.
