Managed new product development related to outside tooling activities from concept stage to product launch. Early involvement in efficient prototyping options using 3D CAD and SLA / Urethane modeling. Extensive use of injection, blow and pressure formed molded components along with sheet metal, casting and machining fixtures.

Worked with Design Engineering to tool and manufacture components for the medical diagnostic industry. Personally responsible for design, control and budget of high volume tooling applications. Key role in Setup of European based manufacturing in Ireland.

Responsible for evaluation, setup and implementation of high volume European molding sources producing parts at a rate of 750K per day and responsible for $10 million dollars in yearly medical disposable sales. Proposed and developed manufacturing plan to management. Setup manufacturing site in Ireland to supply molded parts to European Customer base.

Developed and tested high temperature plastic composites for the aerospace industry. Supervised development lab to develop new products using advanced graphite materials and high temperature plastics.

Methods Engineer responsible for the setup of in-house molding and manufacturing. Acquired necessary equipment and tooling to begin internal manufacturing of automatic injection thermoplastic and thermoset molded components. Also responsible for automatic lead wire manufacturing, termination and harness board equipment.
