I joined the Home Office to conduct an independent 3 month piece of work by reviewing and updating plans for 26 projects that were all late in delivery. The brief was to ascertain and produce a paper on why the projects were delayed, provide recommendations on how to stabilise and review the Organisation Model. By prioritising projects and mentoring of the Project Managers on planning and RAID, I effected the delivery of 2 high priority projects that had been delayed for over a year.

I stood down teams whilst the delays were being encountered, saving Capita £5M in that year alone. The government programmes I worked on pay every customer in the UK their benefit payments, so processing large integrated files across the estate, high financial expenditure and has to be to a high level of quality and accuracy.
