Serves as Logistics Branch Chief for Product Manager (PdM) Vehicle Systems, with responsibility for the overall management, planning, acquisition, direction, and coordination of integrated logistics support activities for the PdM Office. The program managed involves development of new supply and maintenance concepts for new items and logistical support to CONUS, overseas commands, and foreign countries. Formulates broad policies and objectives for execution of supply, maintenance, and training programs by supporting installations in support of research, development, procurement, and production and fielding activities of the PdM Office. Identifies new program requirements and provides for the development of plans for integration with current total mission. Analyzes performance in light of internally established goals, in order to determine the extent to which accomplishments measure up to requirements and expectations. Adjusts objectives and goals in relation to mission and utilization of resources in relation to objectives and goals to attain an effective balance between current and anticipated requirements. Establishes and apprises key staff personnel of PdM Office plans, policies and objectives, and gives management direction to ensure that separate programs are integrated, fully coordinated and effectively implemented, and that desired goals are attained. Develops and assesses systems deployment plans to assure that distribution and support planning for items of new equipment is substantive and accurate. Establishes and maintains communications with users to assure PdM Office responsiveness to their reactions. Keeps all agencies and commands informed of developments which affect distribution and support planning, to include required planning for special maintenance or support facilities. Directs development of all training programs and training aids, special support equipment and assures delivery as required by the training agency.

Serves as APM with responsibility for coordination and direction of acquisition and logistics activities for multiple Acquisition Category (ACAT) III programs for the project/product management for Sets Kits and Outfits PM-SKOT under PM-FP and the PEO-CS&CSS (www.peocscss.army.mil).Manages programs from the Materiel Solution Analysis Phase through the Production and Deployment phase of the Integrated Defense Acquisition Technology and Logistics Life Cycle Management System with responsibility for overall program cost, performance and schedule. Serves as the lead for all program activities to include: requirements development, budget analysis, design, prototyping, testing, logistics development, contract establishment, Type Classification, Materiel Release, Milestone C, manufacturing/production, documentation and fielding. •Manages two Acquisition Category III programs from development through MS-C and sustainment.•Responsible for approximately one half billion dollars of Total Life Cycle Costs for Army assets.•Managed system requirements, design, prototyping, testing, contracting, manufacturing and documentation through the Integrated Defense Acq/Tech/Log Life Cycle Management System.•Directs and coordinates program activities with multiple outside organizations and regularly authors and presents briefings to the SES and General Officer level.

Served as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Maintenance Support Manager/Technical Adviser for 16 systems for the TACOM Chemical Biological Directorate Decontamination (Decon) Team. Served as part of a team that provided specialized engineering, technical and logistical information to CONUS/ OCONUS commands and international countries. Planned, scheduled and implemented all elements of maintenance management to include Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) on assigned TACOM systems and for other users of assigned systems. Conducted research and evaluation on deficiencies reported from the field, authored and reviewed technical information for publications, Technical Manuals (TMs), Technical Bulletins (TBs), Supply Bulletins (SBs), Modification Work Orders (MWOs), Maintenance Advisory Messages (MAMs), Equipment Improvement Recommendations (EIRs), and DA FORM 2028s for accuracy to enhance support of Joint Services in the field.Developed and implemented TACOM Chem-Bio’s first Performance Based Agreement (PBA) with the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). The agreement lasted 3 years and dramatically improved USASOC’s Operational Readiness Rates (ORR) from an ORR of approximately 50-60% to an ORR above 90% without an increase in costs to the unit.Authored Statements Of Work (SOWs) for multiple decon theater support contracts. Led contract price negotiations resulting in a total cost savings of over $1 million dollars without compromising support to the warfighter. Served as the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) on multiple Contracted Logistic Support (CLS) contracts valued over $2 million dollars.

Served as a Drill Sergeant in an Army Reserve Basic Combat Training Company. Trained platoons of 40-50 recruits in basic soldiering skills in classroom and field environments. Planed, coordinated and conducted all training with guidance from superior officers in accordance with army regulations and with the use of army regulations and technical manuals. Duties included teaching and enforcing discipline, military courtesy, drill and ceremonies, various soldering skills and army values. Prepared, managed and instructed on small arms weapons systems to include M16A2, M4, M60, M249, M9, M203, M2, M72 (LAW), M136 (AT4), MK19, M18A1 (Claymore Mine). Training on weapons systems includes; loading, unloading, performing functions check, correcting malfunctions, maintenance, marksmanship, firing positions, range safety and execution with the weapon. Coordinated and operated ranges. Taught basic first aid to include evaluating a casualty, CPR, control bleeding, splinting a fracture, treat for burns, hot weather injuries, cold weather injuries, transportation of casualties, and treatment in a CBRN environment. Taught basic land navigation to include map reading, measuring distance on a map terrain feature identification, pace count, determining grid coordinates, compass reading, and shooting an azimuth.Trained soldiers on CBRN detection, reaction to, protection from (including use and maintenance of the M40 protective mask), and basic first aid for. Supervised appointed trainee squad leaders in day-to-day activities in the platoon and ensured that all training was conducted to standard. Served as shop foreman position and Motor Sergeant for the 2/123rd (FA). Was responsible for maintenance and sustainment of all equipment for the head quarters company and approximately 10-15 mechanics. Duties included supervision, maintenance, training, and records keeping in a field and garrison environment. Managed the motor pool facility and equipment ensuring that all weapon systems were in serviceable condition at all times. Established maintenance schedules, assigned maintenance tasks to individual mechanics, gave technical guidance to mechanics and inspected work to ensure completion of required service. Was responsible for inspecting and diagnosing equipment to decide what level of maintenance it required and to determine if the equipment needed to be evacuated to a higher level of maintenance. Performed battlefield damage assessment and repair (BDAR)and supervised recovery operations. Utilized standard mechanics hand and power tools, technical manuals and testing equipment such as multi-meters, and ste-ice machines. Maintained all maintenance and personnel forms/records including 2404s, 5988s, prescribed load list (parts ordering), personnel records, and counseling forms. Trained mechanics in a shop environment on proper maintenance procedures, safety, preventative maintenance checks and services (PMCS), HAZMAT handling, and troubleshooting. Trained drivers on vehicle operation, operator level maintenance, and PMCS in accordance with army regulations and with the aid of 10 level manuals.
